Eureka! Do you know what that means? It's the state motto of California and it means I have found it! Eureka Kiska-o...you've been found! And you are Kisko! I knew it! I told your mom that we couldn't just say Kiska because what if your were a boy...and it turns out that you are! I just had a feeling, and you know I'm always watching your back...even before you are born!
I saw your face today. Even though you're still tucked deep inside your birth mother, I saw your face, a hand and a foot. You have other stuff too...but that's what I saw. You were sleeping very peacefully...just waiting to get a little bigger, grow a little stronger and get a little closer to meeting your future mom and dad...and, of course, ME! It's very exciting. You have no idea how the pain and despair that followed your parents home from the Ukraine was replaced by pure joy once your parents saw your face and felt you turn and kick from inside your womb. Everyone is ecstatic! It's been a very happy November. History was made when we elected Barack Obama as our next president and you were finally found! (AND...I had a lunch date with a man! More about that later...but let's just say lots of things are starting to fall into place!)
I already have so many plans for your room but I won't start until you are safely born and brought home. But let me just say, you won't be disappointed. I have to tell you I am not great with holding newborns, but with you I may have to make an exception! Work with me and I'll work with you. Nothing is impossible. (Did I mention my lunch date with a man?!!!) Anyway...there is a lot to think about and do before you're born, which really isn't that far away. 7 weeks give or take a week! It won't be long now! All of us can't wait until you throw up formula on our shoulders or you squirt us when we change your diaper! And if you take after your new dad, you should have those things down in no time.
Keep growing strong little Kisko. You have a wonderful life awaiting you with wonderful parents. What a great start it is when you are making someones greatest dream come true just by being born.
Love,
Auntie Janet
