Kiska-o,
I had to rescue another Mouse today! Riley C Kitty brought me a mouse and deposited it on the doorstep. I thanked him very much (because you see in cat terms he thought he was doing a very good thing) and made him come inside. I thought the mouse was dead, so I made sure Sophie did not go out the front door because she didn't need mouse for lunch! I waited a while then when out to move him and the most miraculous thing happened. The mouse, who must have been playing possum, got up and ran off right in front of me! SAVED! He played dead so as not to attract attention to himself, then, when the coast was clear, he skedaddled home! Sophie never even knew he was there! Earlier I had to rescue a lizard from Tessie. She was really just playing with him, but I could tell he'd had enough. Rescuing the lizard was harder because I really don't like to pick lizards up. But I did it and just in time because Sophie was on the prowl for a snack! And the really remarkable thing is that while this was happening I was on the phone with your mom, talking to her like she was here in Glendale but really she is in the Ukraine still trying to find you! The world is a big place little Kiska-o, but sometimes it's just a blink away.
You may be playing possum too...hiding a bit so that scary things don't happen to you. But your mom and dad aren't scary...so you need to show them where you are. They will only be scary when your mom wants you to run around the Rose Bowl with her and your dad wants you to pick up your room to his standards. But when that happens...just call me!
If I could, I'd send Riley C. Kitty or Tessie May to find you (cats are very smart and very good at finding things)...or even the Soph (don't worry...she'd never eat you!) because she is a hound dog and they are also good at sniffing things out...but it would take too long to get them through quarantine...so you have to be found by your mom and dad. I think this next week is going to be a turning point in that search, so show yourself! And if kiska really means kitten, then you should be good at finding things too. I've posted a picture of your mom and dad so you'll recognize them...so keep an eye out. Tuesday the search begins again!
Love,
Auntie jj
